Talk by Len Sheppard of Newquay Museum

July 4, 2017 by Susan Roberts Leave a Comment

We are very grateful to Len Sheppard of Newquay Museum who gave a talk at the Royal Cornwall Museum in June 1917 on the 1917 lifeboat disaster in the town, when the James Stephens No. 5 went down in terrible seas in the attempt to rescue a stricken ship.  Panels and banners from Heart of Conflict will be on display in Newquay this December – the centenary of the lifeboat loss.
